The song “Understand My Praise” is more of a thankfulness anthem. A hymn inspired by King David’s joy as the Ark of the Covenant was returned to Israel in the Bible.
Joey Adono (Joseph Adono Okooboh) is a singer-songwriter whose love for God and humanity is strongly ingrained in his passion for music and composition. Joey, as he is affectionately known, is from the Nigerian state of Edo. He is the first of four children, and he spent the majority of his childhood in Ibadan. He graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, with a degree in Geography.
His latest single “Understand My Praise” captures the gratitude mode of the king despite the ridicule by Saul’s Daughter who was King David’s wife. An uptempo gospel pop with heavy African rhythm written in the Nigerian Colloquial language. It is a very groovy sing-along song.
“Understand My Praise” was written by Joey Adono Okooboh and produced by Eskeez. Joey has an EP and four singles to his credit. He has shared his craft on various platforms ranging from Government functions, Concerts, and Churches amongst others.
